Joyce Smith, a partner at Baker & McKenzie and a speaker at Doing Business Globally in Santa Clara, was recently named to The Recorder‘s list of 50 Women Leaders in Tech Law.
The newspaper recognized Ms. Smith’s work for top Silicon Valley companies, and spoke with Ms. Smith about her biggest career accomplishment and her advice for young women lawyers. Her peers on the prestigious list include partners from several law firms as well as in-house counsel at major Silicon Valley companies.
On Nov. 3, Ms. Smith will serve as a speaker at DBG in Santa Clara. She centers her practice on advising multinational companies on cross-border commercial transactions, IP and technology licensing, development and acquisitions, IP migrations for post-acquisition integrations and international tax reorganizations, implementation of international tax restructurings, FCPA compliance and due diligence, and other cross-border regulatory, compliance and commercial issues.
