Matthew Gemello, a partner at Baker & McKenzie and lead organizer of Doing Business Globally in Santa Clara, recently co-authored a piece on the pitfalls and paradigms of cross-border M&A in ACC Docket, an award-winning magazine for in-house counsel.
The article offers insights into the main priorities of in-house counsel in cross-border M&A, how to think flexibly, and ensure success in the post-acquisition phase.
“By understanding cross-border transaction processes and being mindful of the key levers to move the deal forward, in-house counsel can play a significant role in leading a successful transaction,” Matthew wrote in the article.
Matthew co-authored the piece with two clients – Jeff Levinson, vice president, general counsel and secretary at NetScout Systems Inc., and Nicole Nguyen, corporate counsel at NetScout.
