M&A intelligence service Mergermarket released its Q3 2014 report on global deal activity today, showing that 45.6 percent of all deals this year have been cross-border – the highest percentage on record for Mergermarket data.
Other highlights from Mergermarket’s report:
- Global M&A has accumulated US$2,486.1 billion-worth of deals so far, up 11.7 percent from 2013.
- Europe had the most deals above US$10 billion since 2007, and Asia had the most deals above US$2 billion on record.
- US M&A has reached pre-financial crisis levels, with US$1,106.1 billion-worth of deals through Q3.
